Rattlesnake Stem Bag
The Rattlesnake Stem Bag is an essential piece of gear for maximizing your water and fuel storage on bikepacking trips, ultra/endurance races or epic day rides, drawing its name from our favorite Missoula riding area, the Rattlesnake National Recreation Area. It easily attaches to your handlebar, stem and fork crown using a simple 3-strap system for quick, one-handed access to a water bottle, snacks, small camera, or other items you need to get to while riding. Our stem bag is slightly larger than existing options out there, offering plenty of room for a standard water bottle and a few bars and gels, or, in a pinch, it can accommodate a 32oz Nalgene, 40oz Kleen Kanteen or similar sized bottles.
The bag features water-resistant 400 Denier pack cloth on the exterior, a thin closed cell foam insert to provide structure and some insulation, while the coated nylon liner can be easily wiped out in the event of spilled gels or melted candy bars. A coated silnylon top with a reflective elastic drawstring closure allows you to secure the bag's contents and prevents occasional wet weather from spoiling your cargo. On the outside of the bag, facing the rider, is a small, elastic mesh pocket for small items like gel packets or keeping your wrappers separate from your snacks. Grab two and use them on either side of your stem or run one by itself.
The stem bag is compatible with mountain and road bar setups and existing bikepacking handlebar systems.
We are making some design changes to the Rattlesnake Stem Bag. They should be back in stock in late November 2014.
